On stage at the Mulates Restaurant Margot Hitchcock & Ray Simpson giving a Cajun dance demonstration with local Cajun band Cajun Roux at the Boîte Winter Festival at Southgate in Melbourne, August 2000 Teaching Cajun Dancing with Ray Simpson

This is the Webpage of Margot Hitchcock, Cajun Dance Teacher and Performer of Melbourne, Australia.

I have been teaching Cajun dancing in Melbourne and at Music Festivals  since 1995.

Unfortunately I had a stroke Cajun dancing in 2009, and although I am able to walk and dance now, I cannot teach as much as I used to.

But  I have retained my now re-created web page  so that people can see how I once enjoyed all things Cajun and how readers can too learn how to enjoy similar events in Louisiana and experiences through my experiences.

If you care to browse  through any of the above buttons you can read more of my experiences, interests and achievements.  Also information on Cajun people and instruments and where to go to have a good time in Louisiana..

My  desire is to pass on my love of music and dancing, so others can share in this  exciting experience.

“Dance with the music in your heart and the steps will bring you joy…..”

“Laissez le bon temps rouler  …. Let the good times roll..”
